Summary: Santa Moni calls for help dealing with an unusual case of robberies and the prime suspects: the Boogers Brothers. These two men, with a goal of capturing a hidden artifact, rob the wealthy Santa Moni houses in search of the keys to unlock the hidden treasure buried in an ancient Mayan temple of the Yucatan.

History of Case: When Gary and Ryan are briefed on a new case, they find out that this one may be one of their most unusual cases to date. The suspects, Peter Dent and Fillip Meguel, call themselves the "Booger Brothers." They have been raiding the wealthy residents of Santa Moni in efforts to steal statues of a supposedly worthless value. Their goal at this time is yet uncertain. Gary and Ryan are sent, on behalf of the FBI, to Santa Moni to investigate the case.

The two agents arrive early at the Police Station and meet with Police Chief Barnum. Working with the Santa Moni police, Gary and Ryan slowly unveil clues to the case. Despite several dead–end police chases, they discover a journal that belonged to Fillip Meguel's great grandfather, and it points to his journeys through the Yucatan.

Things take a turn for the worst when Gary Miller and Captain Fife find a lead that takes them out to eat at the Mexican restaurant, La Fiesta. Fillip, a chemist, frequents the restaurant as a chef and creates a special dish for the two officers. However, as a result of the meal, Fife becomes inconvenienced in the bathroom, and Gary goes on a wild goose chase that leaves him unconscious in the hands of the enemy.

If things couldn't get any worse, Ryan uncovers a scandal involving Mayor Clinton, Police Captain Fife and others. In the midst of the scandal the police find that the Booger Brothers have fled the country and are moving to the Yucatan. Meanwhile, upset with her under–appreciation in the police force, Tracy Pennington is offered the opportunity to work with the LUG on their current mission.

After arriving in the Yucatan, Ryan and Tracy meet up with a local to take them into the jungle. During the course of their journey, they come in confrontation with the Laughing Stock. Suddenly, Ryan realizes that the Dread must be involved with this case. Upon reaching the temple, Ryan and Tracy are captured and meet with one of the leaders of the Dread, Bart Steinhardt.

Now, they must escape, find Gary, and stop the Dread – before it's too late…
