Flester Grimm appears as a skinny man with a long-brimmed hat and long jacket that drapes to his feet. He is an enigmatic being with unquestionable power and has been known as one of the most awe-inspiring creatures in the Dread. His cloak shrouds him in mystery and his long-brimmed hat covers his face in darkness. Beneath his cloak is a void from which he can call forth flocks of crows. With these birds, he has an army to do his bidding.

It is uncertain as to Flester Grimm’s true origin, but many have found evidence that he may have emerged from a rift within the Rocky Mountains, near the eastern edge of the Colorado Plateau. In 1995, scientists from across the plateau discovered a strange level of energy readings.

League agents were already investigating a series of strange activities in Colorado, and they had supposedly encountered a rift of some kind. However, none of the agents ever returned from that mission. Further investigations led to the discovery of a lost Native American tribe in caves of the Rocky Mountains. Within their land, large pictures had been painted on the cave walls and depicted a creature bearing a resemblance to Flester Grimm. The painting depicted what the Native Americans called, the Crow Spirit. Many LUG scientists believe that this Crow Spirit’s origins date back to pre-European times. It is said that the Crow Spirit follows death.

Shortly after the investigation, stories of a creature, fitting Flester Grimm’s description, spread throughout the Colorado Plateau and into surrounding regions. Many of these stories tell of a mystical being that could control entire populations of crows with a single call.

Within a few months Flester Grimm had been identified as working with the Dread. It is theorized that the Crow Spirit’s evil tendencies have led him to his new allegiance with the Dread. Many fear that Flester Grimm may rise to become one of the most powerful Dread agents ever.
